Covering the entire general surgery service including: transplant, general surgery, CAIR, colorectal, EAT, bariatric and trauma. Clinical leadership, assessment and collaborative management of inpatient surgical patients aged newborn to young adult. Includes: interpretation of diagnostic tests, performance of therapeutic procedures, quality improvement initiatives and clinical research activities. Coordinating direct admission, timely discharge planning, consultations and participating in patient/family education in collaboration with the healthcare team. Working 32 hours per week, 12 hour shifts 50/50 day/night rotation, every 4th night weekend, and rotating holidays. A Master of Science in Nursing and certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Will give preference to those with at least 1 year of current Pediatric Nurse Practitioner experience, will consider new-grad and newer NPs with pediatric RN experience, BCH experience strongly preferred Excellent organizational, communication skills and computer skills required.
