The successful candidate will work with state of the art Surgical treatment in the safest, most efficient and caring manner.
You will provide cross coverage in Pre-surgical admission/assessment; PACU coverage and patient discharge. *Essential Responsibilities*
* Admitting patients to the Center
* Assisting Physicians during procedures
* Following patients in recovery to discharge
* Overseeing patient and staff flow and monitoring that policies and procedures are followed.
* Additional duties include maintaining the emergency cart, ordering and inventorying medication, giving pre-procedure instruction and participating in Quality Management projects. *Qualified candidates will possess the following:*
* Experience as a Nurse, RN required in a Hospital, ASC or Acute Care setting
* Experience in PACU/Pre-Op, Medical Surgical, Step-Down, Critical Care, ER or Ambulatory Surgery Endoscopy highly preferred
* Current New York state RN license
* BLS Certification, ACLS required.
* Must be a team-player with excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.
* Compassion for patient needs and a high degree of professionalism.
* You must have excellent communication skills, be extremely organized, detailoriented and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Post and Pre-Op experience preferred.
